ASHEVILLE, N.C. (828newsNOW) — A 16-year-old accused in a Fairview triple homicide has been brought back to Buncombe County, where she now faces adult charges and is being held without bond.

Star Grant arrived in Buncombe County at about 12:25 p.m. Tuesday, according to authorities. She is charged with three counts of first-degree murder and one count of conspiracy to commit murder. Because she is being charged as an adult, officials said she is being held without bond. The Buncombe County Sheriff’s Office said she will be housed in a juvenile detention facility in Alexander County.

Her co-defendant, Devan Loving, is expected to be extradited later this week and will be held at the Buncombe County Detention Facility.

The pair was arrested in Sevier County, Tennessee, after investigators say they were wanted in connection with a triple homicide in Fairview. Both waived extradition, clearing the way for their return to North Carolina within days.

Authorities say the charges stem from a May 8 investigation, when Buncombe County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to a home on Ashworth Drive in Fairview and found three people dead from gunshot wounds: Travis Eugene Grant, Kimberly Michelle Grant, and Sharon Harwood Grant.

Investigators also charged Loving with abduction of a child in addition to the homicide-related counts.
