Marion woman charged with stabbing man while he slept

MARION, N.C. (828newsNOW) —  Tiffany Ann Justice, 40, was charged with felony assault after allegedly attacking a sleeping man with a pocket knife.

The Marion woman was charged with felony assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill inflicting serious injury by Lieutenant Richard Pittman with the McDowell County Sheriff’s Office. Justice was denied bond due to the relationship between the incident and domestic violence.

The stabbing incident occurred on Thursday, July 9. MCSO Deputy Caleb Baliles responded to a stabbing report at a Marion residence, where he spoke with the victim, who said he had been asleep in his home when Justice attacked him.

The man had “multiple stab wounds and lacerations across his body” and “an investigation by Lt. Pittman confirmed that Justice was responsible for the attack,” MCSO said.

MCSO expressed their gratitude to McDowell County Emergency Services for their help with the incident.
