ASHEVILLE, N.C. (828newsNOW) — Soprana Rooftop Cucina, a local brick-oven pizza kitchen and cocktail bar overlooking downtown Asheville, will host a community fundraiser for BeLoved Asheville later this month. The event will honor the one-year anniversary of Hurricane Helene with an evening of food, music and fundraising for a cause.

Rooftop for Relief

The Soprana event, dubbed Rooftop for Relief, will be held from 5:30 to 10 p.m., Thursday, Sept. 11, 192 Haywood St. Rooftop for Relief is open to the public and free of charge to attend, though RSVP is encouraged on the event page.

The Soprana menu is filled with Western North Carolina flourishes, from Black Trumpet Farm mushrooms to the Boone-based Goodnight Brothers prosciutto. For the fundraiser, Soprana will donate $2 from every pizza sold and $5 from the two signature cocktails featuring Cultivated Cocktails spirits, a local distillery, to BeLoved.

The Bill Bares Trio will provide live jazz music during the event, which New Belgium Brewing will also contribute to, bringing local brews on tap and a New Belgium bicycle included as a raffle prize. 100 percent of raffle proceeds will go to BeLoved.

“The evening will offer the community a chance to enjoy Soprana’s sweeping mountain views while supporting Beloved Asheville’s mission to uplift and empower those most in need,” wrote the restaurant in a press release.
