ASHEVILLE, N.C. (828newsNOW) — Harvest Records, the staple music store on Haywood Road, will celebrate its anniversary this weekend with a basement sale, a big discount and – appropriately for its 21st birthday – free beer.
“It’s annual tradition,” said co-owner Mark Capon. “We do a big storewide sale every year.”
The celebration will go on from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., Saturday, Aug. 23 at 415 Haywood Road.
What to expect at the Harvest Records birthday bash
This year, Harvest will offer 20% off everything in the store on the main level. Downstairs, the Harvest basement trove of treasures will offer thousands of vinyl, CDs and cassettes for $1 or less.
“In the basement, yeah, everything’s a dollar or less,” Capon confirmed. “I mean, the 45s and stuff are a quarter, but LPs and CDs are a dollar.”

The event will also feature free beer for adults in attendance, as well as sets from two local DJs.
