Fill up on Mehfil: Swannanoa food truck offering free Thanksgiving meal

SWANNANOA, N.C. (828newsNOW) — Later this afternoon, Mehfil, a local Indian restaurant, will offer a free meal to the Swannanoa community in celebration of Thanksgiving gratitude.

Mehfil will set up at 3:30 p.m., Wednesday, Nov. 26, outside of 6 Pac Smokestack, 2077 US-70, Suite A, Swannanoa.

“We are offering meals to the community on Nov. 26 because this is the season of giving and during this time we want to be apart of this community who has supported us in difficult times,” said Mehfil owner Raj Manaise.

The menu will include Channa Saag, a curry with greens, as well as Dal Milijuli, Aloo Gobi and Jeera Rice.

“We would like to extend our special thanks to Mr. Nirmal Patel, the owner of the location, for kindly allowing us to park our food truck there for this event and donating drinks and water,” Mehfil wrote in a release.
