ASHEVILLE, N.C. (828newsNOW) — Brü Avl, a local farm-to-table brunch spot, has announced that Palmar Latin Kitchen, a new dinner concept led by Chef Carlos Torres, will soon be opening for evening hours at the downtown Asheville café.

Though Brü has been growing a reputation for its coffee, executive chef Layla Neuroth said the drinks are just one component of a robust brunch menu.

“What we want people to see us as right now is farm-to-table brunch. An all-day brunch. So, we’re gonna be going from 8 [a.m.] to 3 [p.m.], just doing brunch.
We’ll still have our coffee drinks, of course,” Neuroth said. “But really just leaning into all-day brunch. We’re gonna have a really killer menu for that.”

The Brü menu includes items like chicken and waffles, baked cottage cheese eggs and a signature breakfast sandwich, all crafted with farm-fresh ingredients. View the full menu here.

Palmar, which will open at 5 p.m., Wednesday to Sunday in the 5 Biltmore Ave. space, will also feature a high-quality menu. The dining concept will open its doors on Wednesday, April 1.

According to Neuroth, Chef Torres has over three decades of experience in the kitchen, and will bring his own aesthetic sensibilities along with it.

“He’s got a really good menu himself going, so that’s gonna be a lot of fish items and all kinds of crazy ceviches and things like that,” Neuroth said.

“He’s gonna come in and make just a few aesthetic adjustments. You know, maybe do some little light changes, add in some other fun trees and whatnot. That kind of picks up his vibe.”
