Asheville housing trends to be topic of briefing

ASHEVILLE, N.C. (828newsNOW) — The city of Asheville will host a public presentation on regional housing needs next week.

The free event, featuring Patrick Bowen of Bowen National Research, will showcase the 2025 Asheville Region Housing Needs Assessment. The presentation is scheduled for 10 a.m.-noon Tuesday, Aug. 26, at the Thomas Auditorium of Blue Ridge Community College in Flat Rock.

Bowen’s presentation will be followed by a panel discussion and a question-and-answer session addressing current and future housing needs in Buncombe, Henderson, Madison and Transylvania counties.

The assessment provides detailed information on housing trends, supply and demand, affordability, and other data shaping the region’s housing policies.
