ASHEVILLE, N.C. (828newsNOW) — Asheville Regional Airport unveiled a new logo, brand identity and refreshed website Tuesday, drawing inspiration from the Blue Ridge Mountains and the spirit of Western North Carolina.

The redesigned brand includes a suite of logos, updated typography and a vibrant color palette. Mountain-themed graphics anchor the airport in its Appalachian setting, while a subtle airplane wing integrated into the “A” of the AVL logo underscores the airport’s role as a gateway for business and adventure.

“Our new look is a celebration of place and direction,” AVL president and CEO Lew Bleiweis said in a statement. “We wanted a brand package that embodies the natural beauty of our region and reflects our values in a genuine, approachable and purposeful way.”

The airport developed the new brand through a collaborative process, incorporating feedback from employees, community members and frequent travelers. Officials said the refreshed look will gradually extend to signage, digital platforms, terminal wayfinding, outreach, merchandise and customer experience programs.

Core design elements include:

  • Mountain motif: A modern icon representing the Blue Ridge Mountains.
  • Color palette: Shades of green and blue inspired by local landscapes.
  • Typography: Geometric letter forms conveying clarity and authenticity.

The brand also reflects AVL’s updated vision, mission and values:

  • Vision: To be an authentic and convenient gateway for business and adventure.
  • Mission: To champion exceptional experiences and economic vitality.
  • Values: Welcome, integrity, forward progress, and empathy.

AVL served more than 2.2 million passengers in 2024 and offers nonstop flights to 25 destinations through six airlines. More information is available here.
